"Cases like mine are not his standard fare: the average defendant doesn’t deconstruct the entire architecture of authority of the legal system as part of his defence for a parking ticket, looking for inconsistencies." :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

That is an absolutely delicious turn of phrase, Martin. Take a break and recharge for a few days. You've clearly got some of them wondering if they can be vacationing in Fiji when the case finally comes into court again. Great work!

You have the support of all of us and I second all of the above comments. We couldn't fight when we didn't see the corruption and how deep it's tentacles extend. You're using your unique skillset to help clean up a cesspool and God Bless You for that and your determination and bravery. We need you rested and well. ❤️

What an unnecessary pain in the backside all of this is for you but full marks to you for not bending over. I had neither the time nor the will to defend myself from another bit of injustice last year. I was driving down a dual carriageway that had once had a 70 mph limit but was aware the limit had been reduced to 50 mph for some time for no obvious reason. What I did not know (because someone had removed the temporary signage) was that due to recent flooding the limit on this bit of road had been reduced to 40 mph. Both my daughter and I in seperate vehicles got summonses through the post for breaking the 40 mph limit but offering a £90 speed awareness course to have done with the matter - and we both chickened out and accepted this option. I found out later that quite a bit of fuss had been made by other victims in the local press about the unfairness of the missing signage and one chap decided to fight it. He apparently landed up with a £1,600 fine and 8 points on his licence - oh, and the road is now back to a 70 mph limit after no obvious physical change. Crazy stuff. The police and legal system seem to have unfortunately morphed into a bunch of highwaymen - or was it always thus?
