I love how you are handling this! You have inspired me to speak up to people demanding money of me with no valid authorization from me. I've discovered that people don't know how to respond when you don't just go along with their demands. In the US, Medicare it trying to impose a fine "for the rest of your life" if you have what they perceive is a "gap in coverage". It's extortion.
It appears you are beginning to wear them down as they begrudgingly, and belatedly, acknowledge a point or two of yours. I am still enjoying this series and hope you get your day in court; after which this will have all been well worth the effort. And, after that, I wonder who you will set you sights on next.

Yes, unfortunately I did create a contract with them. I never even go to doctors because I have no health problems and I use natural remedies. Your article has served to awaken me to contracts I’ve made that I may not want to be part of. I was on a Christian Healthcare Ministry. I have to educate myself more about “mandatory Healthcare coverage”. Because of my age I no longer qualify for the coverage I had. I just started Medicare this year. I know the whole health system will change. So I’m not too stressed about it. But I will do my research.
