Thought provoking as always but you divide people on what I consider 'the right path' to be in two camps, when I would say more like, 3,4,5,6,7 because we are critical thinkers. Possibly it's very much demographic, I don't know. We live on the Somerset/Dorset border and have lost 95% of our original friends and 50% of our family but we have over the last two years made more friends and we are enjoying our time together. Mostly we are in our 50s and early 60s but we have teenagers and offspring in their early 20s who are engaging with our vision (of which we are all in agreement with there, that the establishment globally are not here to help you). Some of us are more able to help with others at specific times, others still working flat out, not so but there is a general consensus to help when you can. We are only about 60 strong stretching from Wincanton to Shaftesbury and Yeovil but the group is wider, possibly 350 but who can keep in contact with that many people regularly? We grow food and flowers, many of us have creative and construction skills, share info, talk and eat together frequently. People have acted as advocates to others needing Hospital treatment with their expert knowledge of the law. We bond and act locally, shunning all communitarianism ideologies but treating localism as a good thing. We take it in turns to write to MPs and to Parish Councils etc to inform them of our concerns, etc. It feels good. United but individual. We hope that this is the way forward. Thank you for all your work, I and many others find it inspiring....
