This is why we never have to fear AI taking our place. We only have to fear our neighbors thinking it should.
Systems- which are the non-digital form of AI, can only follow the rules and the frameworks given them. It will never intuit what is needed in a child’s situation. Only a loving and empathetic caregiver can see through what is being done to a child’s heart and psyche, and make the changes that put their own interests secondary to help the child, for the sake of the child only. It will require sacrifice. And only a loving and empathetic caregiver can talk a child through the pain of what is happening, even while they themselves are scared and hurt. Those are the things that foster resilience to get through the pain and loss while remaining mentally healthy.
No system can protect children from a loveless selfish parent that they are unfortunately emotionally attached to, but either party can choose to selflessly do everything they can to prioritize the experience of the child.
We can hope for fewer selfish parents by helping to build a less selfish and materialistic culture. But we are a long way from that now.
Systems can’t protect children from an amoral parent who is the product of an amoral culture and operating under it’s mores because systems can’t remotely understand the complexity and power of the love that is required to produce a healthy human being.
Which is why family court is hell on earth.
We need to fix the culture. Not the systems that they want us to believe can (or should) moderate human interactions. They will always be far far too blunt for the task.
I have known about sex trafficking of individuals due to my work with those who have suffered this on all levels, Satanic Ritual abuse, prostitution due to dire needs financially such as foster care release without support, mental health issues that are deemed nes., abduction by those in specific religious institutions, much more. It has gone on for decades underground in Cartels, huge corporations and political blackmail and so on. Saving the children has been the focus of some of my art and my prayers and my refusal to go to certain stores like Cosco, Wayfair, and Walmart.
Thanks and blessings to our Galactic friends who helped clean up tunnels under major cities like the Vatican, Washington DC and London. They have helped Trump and the White Hats stop most of the DEEP STATE participation in child torture and adenochrome harvesting.
Martin, this was fascinating. It seems very true. What I was thinking by the time I got halfway through the article was how much this could be generalized to so much of our current civilization. Think of how many different ways our governments have made many of us dependent on them and then created the same dysfunction you are describing here for children. So much of the efforts of bad people have involved using the government to enslave and abuse the rest of us. It's *everywhere*. An enormous indictment of our entire civilizational structure.
I honestly don't know how "civilization" will crawl out from this steaming heap of dung with so many layers of dysfunction.
