Wow. Once again, following your personal journey of awareness is such a joy and comfort for me.

The resonance of your voice is a symphony of insight and expansion. You know that I can include horses in every situation, yet I can share with experience that they help us access our absurd unconscious incompetence, especially in the company of children, who like horses, are pure in heart and spirit....the humility and grace I have experienced in their presence is extraordinary and such a powerful opportunity for me to learn to live in self acceptance, compassion and love so that I can share it with others.

Hey Martin, could there be a sequel or two in the making? This topic is quite appropriate for our present times......and a much needed exploration could be quite valuable to many others.....just saying! Sending love from the US!

Great chat. The word "Repent", from the Greek "Metanoia", has lost its meaning over the millennia. Today the popular meaning of "Repent" is to feel guilty, contrite over one's unkind actions....which is light years away from the original meaning/intent of the word.

"Repentance" in ancient times meant: "To have a radical change of mind", where the word "Mind" was really and ultimately pointing to the heart. In effect, it meant to get out of one's mental monkey-mind meanderings (thoughts), which are entirely based on either the past or the future, and instead, drop into one's heart, into PRESENCE, precisely where all that we desire already exists.

Thus, the "radical change" is to move from one's head (thoughts) to their heart (Presence). And herein lies all the magic spoken of in spiritual lore. There's nothing to "do", only to "be".

On your topic of one-up-manship, indeed you are correct. The liberal intellectuals escaped their hearts for their heads and appear smug and condescending to those who retreated downward into their guts (gut instinct). The latter can sense the nonsensical insanity of the intellectual class, but don't have the education/learning to offer cogent rebuttals. And likewise, the instinctual class appears to be rubes, hillbillies, yokels that are a drain on society. Never the two shall meet and see eye to eye until both return to their eternal homes, which is and always has been within the heart.

Wisdom. It's what the Pharisees, which is whom we are dealing with, have trained us away from.
