Have you seen the vid of the Lara Logan interview?

Lara Logan Says Cult Rules World; Tortures Children; Hates God — Put this in the “conspiracy theories are just spoiler alerts” category. A video is circulating of former CBS Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Lara Logan describing how the world is ruled by a God-hating cult that tortures children.

“They’re not taking us to a world of elites,” she said. “They are taking us into the dark heart of a cult. . . . You have people whose one single, most important defining objective is to eliminate and eradicate God.”

Regardless of the colour hat - white black or grey - that our actors wear, they are all best understood as actors by this point: playing out a script whose purpose appears to be to keep us distracted from how dire the world is getting.

Bless you, Martin! [From a work in progress]

'THE CAST PARTY'

Working in England one summer, I had the opportunity to see a production of The Duchess of Malfi at Stratford-on-Avon. The play is a dark tale that ends badly for all involved – particularly the Duchess.

During the final act, I recall literally squirming in my seat as two executioners wrapped a length of rope around the Duchess’ neck and proceeded to initiate a tug of war on stage.

The visceral sight and sounds of the Duchess choking as her two hooded executioners strained against the rope was the most intense moment of theater I have ever experienced.

“What if the stunt rope had somehow malfunctioned? How would the actors cum executioners know?” I wondered as I sat there recoiling in horror yet macabre-ly transfixed at the spectacle. Pretty powerful stuff for a young architectural exchange student.

Then to see the cast, Duchess included, sharing a pint at a local pub after the performance, I was struck at the incongruity of the nature of perception and that line between fantasy vs. reality.

Suppose a hypothetical first time visitor to the Earthplane who was unfamiliar with the concept of theatrical production witnessed this play. How would that stranger be able to distinguish between reality and stagecraft? I knew I was watching a play and yet I was having questions about the reality of what I was seeing. Our stranger would no doubt be lost in a fog of conflicting perceptual emotions.

I relate this little episode – real and imagined – because it can be taken as a metaphor for our school field trips here to the Earthplane.

We come in with a conscious memory wipe of sorts, awakening to find ourselves as the proverbial strangers in a strange land.

All manner of human dramas are being played out on the world stage, and we find ourselves caught up in the performances – many times playing roles we would just as soon not have to perform.

Within the context of the productions, we forget the eternal parts of ourselves that, like the audience at Stratford, sit entranced at the spectacle – cheering the heroes and booing the villains – in the comfort and safety of their aisle seats.

Ideally, everyone involved, actors and observers, come away from the experience not only entertained (how else are you going to while away eternity?), but also wiser for the efforts of all involved.

An overly facile metaphor you say? Perhaps so, but maybe closer to the mark than you might think.

I for one am looking forward to the cast party that awaits one and all when the stage lights go down and the house lights come up. When the protagonists, antagonists, stars and bit players, producers, directors, costumers and musicians together with their friends, families and other audience members toast each others’ performances, share a pint or two and plan next season’s extravaganza.

Cheers, Mate - and Bravo ! - the NoHoldsBard

I have been Thinking a lot lately about how The so called White Hat's still avoid speaking Truth and acting ignorant about The Infiltration pretending that it's simply bad policies Or stupidity, when most of us that have been paying attention know The Evil intentions that The Cabal has

Thought provoking questions are a refreshing opportunity for reflection while stepping away from the front lines for this old warrior. Thanks Martin.

It has been a long time since some of us have understood that the world we love was headed for collapse, and that a net must be woven into which the pieces could collapse, where the best of them would find each other and catalyze a rebirth of civilization. Much that we have done has been based in this understanding. It was the reason for the creation of the Office for Open Network, in Denver, in 1975, and is at the heart of the idea of freeorder generators. The world needs phoenix. We will fill the sky with them. Be one.

For a presentation of the value of uncertainty may I suggest "Philosophy and the Real World" by Brian Magee, who takes us through the thinking of Karl R. Popper, whose autobiography had the title, "Unended Quest."
