That is truly wonderful to hear. The heavily infested...er...populated urban areas are toxic to the soul. After reading your work for a number of years now, I can see that your voice has transitioned over time; highly technical and professionally competent at the start, I now hear the voice of a poet begin to emerge as your soul reconnects with your deep roots in the countryside of your youth. I also see it reflected in your art. Heed what this inner voice is speaking to you.

All the best.

There’s a sadness too. U reminded me of the grief I feel over my lovely, picturesque childhood overshadowed by the quintessential great mother. What saddens me is it was really a lie. It’s a slap to its authenticity and purity. They sullied everything. We have to make the future “real” this time.

The Weekend Truth Festival was wonderful! Your interview really did set the scene perfectly, Martin. So many of us are waking up to the "pull" from our inner core to seek out all that is real and eschew all that is not. I, too, yearn to return to the happy days of living on a smallholding, keeping chickens, sheep, horses etc and living a simple, rural life. Being surrounded by farmers keeps you grounded and I truly do see a day when it will be farmers who, once again, will lead our communities. It is heartening to hear you say this and to know that your spiritual journey is taking you in this direction, full circle in your roots! Wherever you end up, it will be a happy place. xx
