Fraud, meta or not, relies in some sense in persuading the mark that the result offered is in their interests. Our vast and complex societies still rely on this premise. What is about to unfold, globally, is information that leads to the undeniable realisation, en masse, that our precious children, the most innocent and vulnerable of us, have been harvested, tortured and consumed for generations, in a vast system of exploitation, greed and psychopathy - largely inherited. The current purveyors and beneficiaries of this system are now doomed (nothing can stop what is coming) - and for the rest of us, we have a world to build, afresh. What a time to be alive, and what a responsibility, and opportunity. This was a brilliant contribution again Martin, thank you.
The decline and fall of the empire of meta-fraudsters looks like a horrific end of established society, but actually it is only the beginning of genuine civilisation.
Your essay made me feel queasy at first as you defined meta-fraud, which feels like I’m in the belly of the Leviathon, being slowly digested by the juices of false history. But then you turn it around with the redemptive phrase “the beginning of genuine civilization” and my stomach settles and I can swallow again. But I know that first we must be vomited up by that beast, like Jonah spewing onto the beach, indeed partially digested but alive.
