I so totally get this. I am now retired and caring for an elderly parent. I have time to think. Not only have I awakened to what's really going on in the world, but my spiritual growth is taking off like a rocket. I spend a lot of time in the Word of God. The freedom I feel now is indescribable. And I am making great progress at not comparing myself with others. However, I find that the more I wake up and the deeper I go into spiritual freedom and thinking, I find fewer people with which I can have a meaningful conversation. Just one of the reasons I love your work. It always challenges my thinking and helps me grow. You may also feel more freedom because sharing the gift of your great insight is your calling in life.
Your inspired and insightful sharing reminds me of my theory about my own history of internal
tug- of- war and its relationship with autoimmune illnesses which have become epidemic in our culture--self-attack due to the internal struggle of imbalance of mind, body and spirit. Our animal body was not designed to be disconnected from our amazing minds and Holy Spirit...it took an incredible mare ( female horse) to assist me in healing those disconnections and lead me to wholeness/holiness. This awareness is so important and helps us find the narrow path of healing. Thank you, always, Martin, for your insights and inspiration.
It IS so "freeing" to cast aside the chains which held us in bondage for most of our lives.....what is so weird is that all along we thought we were doing the "right" thing when we were actually being railroaded into going down the path set by other human beings. We were not using our own mental processes, but simply accepting what others had told us!!!
